There are tons of people in this world who doesn't play games. Different reasons and explanations are blurted out from their mouths saying playing games is not good for you, it's a waste of time, and damages your health. Lots of parents are limiting their kids not to play too much games, and i have lots of girl friends who think playing games are lame and useless too. You know, i completely disagree with their assumptions. Of course overdose of playing games is not good for you. Everything that is done too much are not good for you. For examples, over eating, over sleeping, even over work. But is that makes playing games a bad thing for you? Of course not. In fact, according to researches, those who doesn't play games have a higher stress levels than those who do. So i'm here to give you 10 reasons why playing games is good for you, instead of harming you.

1. Games makes you happy.

The most essential reasons that games are created by human kind is to entertain you. Games are not just about violence and killings, of course. You can find lots of games that have funny stories included in it to keep you happy. So whenever you're dealing with emotions or simply boredom, you can always play a game or two.

2. Games can reduce stress and depression.

2009's Annual Review of Cybertherapy and Telemedicine included a study that found that gamers who suffered from mental health issues such as stress and depression were able to vent their frustration and aggression by playing video games — and showed a noted improvement. The study hypothesized that games gave certain "Type A" personalities time to relax in "a state of relative mindlessness" that allowed them to avoid reaching "a certain level of stressful arousal" as they tried to relax. 3. Physical activity required.

Who says playing games are just about sitting and exercising fingers? Tons of games requires you to move. The most obvious example is Xbox 360; a game console with kinect that requires you to play using movements. You can play anything you want with it; guitars, tennis, even dance. You can use it to exercise at home, with fun! So whoever says playing games is not healthy clearly never play Xbox, or just merely don't know what they're talking about.

4. Problem Solving.

Almost every game have a storyline for you to enjoy, which requires your decision on how you should end it. Therefore, you are taught to solve problems, which of course will be useful for daily activities in real life.

5. Games improve your languange skills.

This is one of my favourite reasons to play games. Games improves your vocabulary and grammar skills. I played games my whole life; and i played it well. Since then my English never been so good, always pass my English test with flying colors, flying colors everywhere. And to top off the fun, you can even learn how to talk like gangsters, Australian, or even British lol. How's that not good for you, mate?

6. Teamwork.

Anyone who suffers from working with others should try playing multi-player games. From there you are learned to work with people, and make decisions together, instead of alone.

7. Games bring families together.

There are nothing better than playing games with your family, and spend some quality time. From playing games you can bond your relationship with your family, and even make a good teamwork like i said on number 6. Of course, your mom and dad won't be so left out too after playing games with you, or even better, can trust you because they know what you're doing from involving it.

8. Games can earn you money... If you know how to.

Whether you develop games, make a business out of games, or even review games, you can totally consider games as a way to earn money, and not just a hobby. I mean look at PewDiePie. He's a complete nerd in everbody's eyes, until he's popular, and earn cash from what he does. He totally got my respect because he do what he likes, and he can earn money from what he likes to do. Massive brofist to that guy.

Still thinks game is a lame thing to spend time on?

I don't encourage people to spend their entire life playing games, of course i don't. Life is not just about playing games. There are still social life and daily activities that you must fulfill, like go to school and study. I just don't like people assuming games is not a good thing to do, while they never really experience one. At least try one or two games for yourself. You might totally change your mind on the whole gaming thing.

Till then, i think that's pretty much it. Comment below on how you think about playing games! :D
Lately i find this game lurking around the internet for quite a while now and i'm curious about what is so good about this game so i gave it a try. Here's a little bit review on Pom Gets Wi-Fi, a short game about how a pomeranian dog desperately trying to get wi-fi for her internet-centered life.

It starts with Pom, the pomeranian dog browsing social networks like usual in her master's home, then suddenly fire starts burning in her house and she ended up in heaven. Of course, with her being an internet user the first thing she finds when she got into heaven is wi-fi, despite she had been died. The whole main purpose of the game is to find her a wi-fi, and along her quest she is assisted by her dog friend called Shibe.

The spice to this what seems to be a boring game is that Pom is a fujoshi, and she talks like a regular internet person would type on the social networks, like "da fuq" or "jfc" or "OMFG" and things like that. Along the game you can also see she's kind of a annoying, ignorant and a selfish dog, but kind of funny because her way of act reflects on what usual people on internet would do.

Pom annoys the hell out of the other dogs.

Pom being fujoshi and all, you gotta love this game.

After awhile, you'll realize that there's no way to find any wi-fi in heaven except you defeat the "God in dog heaven" (well, the name of the God in the heaven is DOG, kinda ironic because it's just GOD spelled backwards pfft) and make all the heaven falls apart. After defeating the Dog, Shibe will try to convince you again that it's not a good idea to make heaven fall apart just for getting wi-fi.

From there, you have to decide.

Now you see, this game actually has two endings.

First ending, like the entire story line, you defeat Dog, then Shibe, and you get your wi-fi back. I finish this game with Pom got her wi-fi back within an hour, but it turns out after getting wi-fi everyone Pom knows in the heaven; including Shibe, her friend who assist her along the journey dissapears, since after defeating the Dog, Pom becomes the god and she can do whatever she wants.

This ending somehow give me unsatisfied feeling of the whole game.

I mean i want her to get her wi-fi, but i certainly dont want everyone to dissapear, after all the dog she's been friending with along the whole game, especially Shibe. Shibe is a really nice dog who had been endured Pom for a long time, and i wont want Shibe to die. You'll see what i mean when you play this game.

Second ending is that you can choose to not attack Shibe when he tries to stop you. He'll get your head clear that after all the things she had gone through to get wi-fi, she got a lot of friends by helping other dogs and all, instead of just spending her life online.

So in short, besides of the whole charming and funny game, this game actually have a moral story for us. You can actually do a lot of things instead of spending time on internet doing pointless things. I personally like this game a lot, because it's a really cute game, yet it's not just cute, but it delivers a very important moral message to us all. It is a very well planned game, and whoever made this game clearly knows what they're doing.

Overall i really recommend you to try, since the game is not that time-consuming and not hard at all to navigate. The size of the game is unusually small too, so for you guys out there who worries that this game will lag when you play, fear not.

A few weeks ago my boyfriend's computer been having a problem with blue screen. Apparently after all the computer parts were checked, there are some damage to the VGA card, motherboard, and the hard disk because of frequent inappropriate computer shut down and unstable power supply flow. So the computer parts were being replaced and that explains my hiatus for a month.

Also lately i have been busy doing internship at a design firm called Lorem Design. It's a requirement for my final college assignment in order to graduate. So far the internship is fun, but because my office is a little bit too far from my dorm (about 30 minutes trip) it kinda tires me. So everytime i got home from my office i'm already like too tired to do anything, even eating, so i just lay in my bed till i sleep like a ugly fuck. That's why i can probably update my blog every once in a week, but i suppose that's enough since i don't have any time to play games let alone review them. But of course, i'll try my best :3

This time i'm going to introduce you a game called Don't Starve.

This game is a survival freeplay. The main and only purpose of this whole game is to survive as long as possible. Sounds easy? Actually not. There are MORE than just keeping your character from starving, which is you also have to take notice of their insanity, health, and those hostile enemies. So basically you have to collect ingredients and material for you to survive, then crafts and cook various items to keep you away from hunger or make you stronger. Like, for example, making a log suit, or a grass suit, or cook a ratatouille, etc.

Besides all that, look at the game graphics. Isn't it just lovely?
It's like Tim Burton, only a little bit normal-ish style.

the game's character are a bit more chibi than picture above.

There are many characters for you to choose from, each with different skills and abilities. Some are helpful; some are stupid; some even makes you die quicker lol. But of course of all the fun from choosing characters, you have to unlock each of them first. When you die, you'll get experience which can level you up. And every time you level up, new character unlocked. You'll get Wilson at the beginning of the game, which can grow a magnificent beard over time; somehow not helpful in any way at all. I personally love Willow the fire girl though :3 You'll meet this girl when you reach level 2.

One thing that makes this game my current favorite is that it's so surreal. There are animals based on real world, then there are some which is not. Monsters' what i'm talking about. And each monsters loot something every time they die or you kill them, which makes the game very very challenging. It's fun to watch too because some monsters appear unexpectedly, and some are so cute you gon' die. You got no house, and there are monsters lurking everywhere. What is more challenging than that, am i right.

Just when things are not scary enough, let me introduce you to the day-night cycle. And yes, this does affect on how tough you can survive. Sure, when it's day time your survival is nice and all, but have you met night time yet?

You probably thought when night comes the game display probably just turn darker and some monsters come out but you can still see everything; WRONG. When night time comes and you didn't make fire pit you'll see no shit. And by no shit, i mean completely black. You can't even see your character. And then there comes something, attacking you, until you die. Until your game's over. And you have to repeat all over again. So you really have to plan everything up in this game, not just walk around and see what's gonna happen. You gonna play like you really are surviving.

When night comes and you didn't prepare a fire pit.

So that's pretty much it, overall this is a very VERY fun game to play. I recommend this game so much because it's literally a horror, cute and thriller packed into one, into this awesome game. Comment below on what you think about this game!
